DURACELL® SPECIALTY BATTERIES
Duracell is the share leader in the high powered lithium (HPL) photo
battery category. First introduced by Duracell in 1985, HPL batteries have set the power
source standard for fully automatic 35mm cameras. These batteries have outstanding
performance characteristics, including high-rate capability, long storage life,
exceptionally high-energy density, light weight, and the ability to operate over a wide
temperature range.
Most recently, Duracell added the DLCR2 to its HPL line to meet the
needs of new advanced photo system cameras. The DLCR2 offers consumers the same
outstanding features as other DURACELL HPL batteries.
In addition to meeting the photo customer's need for a reliable power
source, Duracell also sells a full range of batteries for home medical devices such as
glucometers and thermometers. Other applications for DURACELL specialty batteries include
home security and home entertainment devices.
DURACELL® RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
In addition to alkaline and specialty batteries, Duracell also offers
rechargeable nickel metal hydride (NiMH) and lithium ion (Li Ion) batteries. These
batteries are ideally suited to power high power portable devices such as handheld
cellular phones and camcorders.
Duracell is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Gillette Company and is
headquartered in Bethel, Connecticut. Duracell is the world's leading manufacturer and
marketer of high-performance alkaline batteries. Duracell also markets rechargeable
lithium ion and nickel metal hydride batteries, primary lithium and zinc air batteries.
DURACELL batteries are sold throughout the world, primarily under the DURACELL trademark.
